SENIOR LOGISTICS MANAGER
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years' experience in Logistics with a minimum of 3 years' experience in Warehousing or Distribution Inventory Control.
Experience in plant or distribution center layout, design and implementation. Coordinate activities relating to logistics technology for the company.
Analyze contractual commitments, specifications, and other data to plan and develop logistics activities by using knowledge of industrial engineering, ergonomics, exporting, customs matters, shipping options, and business practices
Interface and liaise with customers and management, determine logistics and timing of shipments.
Use analytical methods and a variety of tools to understand, predict and/or improve logistics operations and processes
Responsible for data management, analyzing performance, identifying problems and developing recommendations that support logistics. Develop and maintain cost models. Assume role of analytical lead on key logistics projects
Experience with layout development and with the selection, specification and procurement of storage and material handling equipment desired, and experience with material handling equipment
Must be able to provide strategic direction and support and manage a team and the entire logistics function. Must develop and implement best in-class processes, tools and metrics reporting throughout the entire international supply chain. Must be able to manage a distribution centre.
Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills are required with strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
