Borouge is in search of qualified and experienced personnel for the following vacancies
Olefins Plant Operators
(Cracker, Utility, OCU, Butene / units)
The Olefin’s Operator works either in the control room or in the field according to an agreed rotation schedule.
In the control room he operates control panels (DC’S) comprising highly sophisticated and computerized equipment on shift in the assigned operating area. It includes the operations and control of instrumentation on the control panels governing process qualities and quantities. Constantly visualizes, diagnose and operates micro processing electronic controlling facilities to ensure safe and proper function and that products meet the required stipulated specifications and quantities. He provide functional direction to the field operators to adjust plant operations.
In the field he monitors on shift in the assigned operating area, the operation of processing plant and all equipment and ongoing maintenance work. It includes regular inspection of operations (field tours), adjustment of a variety of gauges and indicators. Reports any anomalies noted to his Supervisor and or to the Operation in control room duty. May substitute Shift Supervisor when required.
Ideal candidates will have Technical Secondary (12 years) education PLUS minimum 6 years experience in
plant operations in petrochemical or in oil, gas processing industry; Must have good knowledge of English - Spoken and written and good IT skills.
Polyethylene Plant Operators
Operating loop reactor and gas phase reactor in polyethylene bimodal production plant as a field operator
and for the right candidate as I)CS operator.
Responsible for safe operation of the plant according to best practice. Monitor the operation of assigned area in the polymer plant. Carry out regular inspection of equipment, adjustment of valves and switches. Taking and analyzing log readings from a variety of gauges and indicators. Reports any anomalies a noticed to his Supervisor and / or Senior Operator. Participate or lead decommissioning and commissioning of equipment as preparation for maintenance.
Ideal candidate will have a High School or Diploma (12 yrs of education) in Chemical Engineering followed
by minimum 3 years in Polyethylene! Polypropylene Unit. Experience in DCS system is required. Good understanding of polyethylene product properties and quality is an advantage. Must have good knowledge of English - Spoken and written and good IT skills.
