PHARMACY SUPERVISOR


POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides direct supervision coordinated with the Director of Pharmacy. Supervises staff and resources in the timely provision of quality pharmaceutical care and services to all patients and staff within the American Hospital, Dubai system during the Department hours of operation in accordance with defined departmental standards. Keeps the Director of Pharmacy apprised of all departmental operations


POSITION QUALIFICATION:

• Baccalaureate degree in pharmacy or equivalent
• Current license or registration to practice pharmacy
• Current M.O.H. Pharmacist Licensure


Professional Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience in hospital pharmacy practice including unit-dose drug distribution, aseptic pharmaceutical preparation, drug information and drug therapy monitoring Knowledge of actions, side effects, adverse effects, and appropriate use of commonly employed drugs
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in hospital pharmacy practice
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills

PHARMACIST


POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides leadership role for staff in performance of functions involved in the safe, efficient distribution of medications, in accordance with relevant laws, rules, regulations and standards of pharmaceutical care.


POSITION QUALIFICATION:

• Baccalaureate degree in pharmacy or equivalent
• Current license or registration to practice pharmacy
• Current M.O.H. Pharmacist Licensure


Professional Experience:

• Minimum of two 2 years post-graduate experience in pharmacy practice
• Knowledge of actions, side effects, adverse effects, and appropriate use of commonly employed drugs
• Knowledge of current technology and pharmacy systems for distribution of medications
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical terminology abbreviations and symbols.
