A. Design Engineers, Application Engineers
1. Sr Design Engineer

The role requires extensive experience in handling design and engineering of high voltage substations and related substation automation.
2. Design Engineers
Good experience in delivering designs and engineering works for transmission substation projects is required. The successful candidate should have hands on expertise either in primary engineering or secondary and interface engineering while having the ability or ambition to manage the delivery of the complete engineering for a substation.

3. Design and Engineering

A sound knowledge and good hands-on experience in design of transmission protection systems along with knowledge of CT/VT calculations and relay setting calculations is necessary. The successful candidate should be able to interpret technical specifications, prepare schematics and demonstrate applied knowledge of major brands of substation automation and protective relays.

4. Application Engineer

The role handles sub-system application software adaptation and development including the planning, installation and reporting on requirements for various projects. Good experience in control, protection, automation and/or consultancy related to relays and substation automation systems is required.

B. Manufacturing, Assembly
1. Manufacturing, Assembly of Relay and Substation Automation Panels

The role requires basic knowledge of testing and commissioning of protection systems and relays and working knowledge of quality assurance and quality control and related health and safety procedures. The ideal candidate must demonstrate good experience and ambition to be part of a strong manufacturing team.

C. Commissioning Engineers
1. Lead Commissioning Engineer

The role requires strong experience of high voltage substations and a candidate capable of planning, leading and handling site commissioning activities that include testing and start-up of all related subsystems.

2. Commissioning Engineers

Graduate engineers with good experience in commissioning and trouble shooting of transmission and distribution subsystems. Hands on experience of latest numerical protection and substation automation systems is a must.

3. Erection, Commissioning, Start-up

Good hands-on engineers for site erection and construction works related to substation automation systems and control and protection applications required. A basic knowledge of testing and commissioning of protection systems and relays along with working knowledge of quality assurance and control plus health and safety procedures is a must.

D. Construction and Civil Engineers
. Construction Manager
The successful candidate will be responsible for complete construction and site management of high voltage substations from the start of civil works until completion of project works including overall management of site managers and site supervisors. Role requires strong experience of related parts of engineering and site management, preferably from the Middle East.

2. Civil Design Engineer Substations


The role requires strong experience in structural and architectural designs in the power sector including transmission substations, preferably coupled with a M. Sc. degree. The main responsibilities are tendering support and construction management of related projects in the power sector.


E. Project Managers, Scheduling Engineers,
Site Managers, Installation Supervisors


1. Project Managers, Associate Project Managers

This position requires good experience in project and site management, preferably coupled with related PMI certification and a commercial and/or technical background from substation projects. Hands on knowledge of project processes covering scheduling, cost control, cash flow, health and safety and other related areas preferred.


2. Project Managers

The main responsibilities include contract performance, variation orders, preparation of tenders with support from technical and other back-office staff as required. Candidate must be able to resolve disputes over back charges, delays, warranties and similar in a professional manner while maintaining customer relations. Good experience in independent project management of substation automation and protection projects is required.

3. Scheduling Engineers
The ideal candidate would be a graduate engineer, civil or electrical, demonstrating proficiency on MS project and/or Primavera along with good relevant experience in planning and coordinating major projects. Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret tenders, specifications and project requirements to ensure contract compliance an advantage.

4. Site Managers
Strong experience in installation and commissioning of high voltage substations plus good experience in leading site activities across various activity sectors is essential. Successful candidate must demonstrate good planning, scheduling and leadership skills coupled with a natural dedication towards occupational health and safety.


5. Installation Supervisors

The role requires good experience from substation sites related to supervision and participation in installation and commissioning of subsystems like large transformers, gas insulated switchgear, medium voltage switchgear, power cables, control and protection, telecommunication and substation automation.



F. Service Engineers, Field Service Technicians

The role is dominated by field assignments to solve customers’ operational problems and to service and optimize related equipment. The candidate should work as an extended arm of the sales department and be responsible for the review of specifications and advise on resource requirements for service. The ideal candidate will have good service experience in the power generation, transmission and distribution fields, specifically with control and protection systems, high and medium voltage switchgear, RMUs and transformers.


1. Field Service Engineers
Good hands-on experience in service and maintenance works in the areas of control, protection and substation automation in the fields of power transmission and distribution required.

2. GIS Service Engineer

The main responsibility in this position is to erect, commission, maintain and repair high voltage gas insulated switchgear (GIS) equipment. Also included are training and technical support to customer’s technical staff, planning of work, documentation and reporting and management of own staff and subcontractors. Practical demonstrated experience is a must.


G, Health and Safety Supervisors

The role will ensure and maintain compliance with federal, state and local environmental, health and safety regulations and have site experience from major construction projects in the power sector. The ideal candidate would be a B. Sc. or M. Sc. engineer with additional qualification as environmental and occupational health and safety supervisor with good experience from the power systems industry.


1. Health and Safety Engineers

To assist the supervisors, we require professionally accredited health and safety engineers (of any discipline) with good site experience. The successful’ candidates shall Maintain sites and coordinate and conduct employee training in relevant fields, assist at site compliance audits and ensure upkeep of related records. Resolution and effective closure of all regulatory findings within set time frames and development and maintenance of sustainable systems to ensure continuous compliance with all regulatory and company requirements are integral parts of the role.


H, Supply Management, Tendering, Sales Support, Order Handling


1. Sr. Tender Engineer

The role requires strong experience of tender activities in the power sector. The scope involves tender planning, optimization and completion. The right candidate must display a detailed understanding of power systems and related components coupled with strong commercial abilities.


2. Tendering Engineer

The main responsibility of this position is the handling of all aspects of tendering (planning, review, administration, negotiation, optimization, management) including commercial and customer aspects of assigned projects. The ideal candidate will be providing back office support to customers as well as internally on all related tasks including tendering and order processing. Good experience in similar function required.

6. Order Handling

The main responsibility of this position is the management of commercial and customer aspects of assigned projects. Applicant should have a diploma in electrical engineering with at least basic electrical engineering knowledge, previous exposure to SAP or any other ERP system coupled with a good industrial experience.

Arab Banking Corporation, a leading wholesale bank, is looking for a Senior Credit Analyst to join their Head Office Credit Department (HOCD) based in Bahrain. The candidate will report to the Deputy Head of HOCD and will responsible for evaluating the credit risk of new businesses and reviewing periodic risk of existing assets.


Responsibilities


• Revise risk ratings if necessary. to enable the bank to take timely action to protect asset values where necessary.
• Evaluate credit risk relating to new corporate business proposals and pursue risk-conscious business with timely decision-making.
• Undertake portfolio studies of credit risks within a Unit, industry or economic sector to control and evaluate risk on a portfolio basis.
• Ensure that business units comply with the credit policies, procedures and customer limit specifications and maintain the integrity of control systems.
• Review credit risk (financial/transactional) to confirm that credit risk remains acceptable and authorize renewal for the continuation of existing credit limits.


Qualification/Experience

• University degree in business administration, ideally MBA/ACCA/ CIMA/CA/CPA/CFA.
• At least 10 years of core banking (Corporate Banking/Credit) experience in a similar role in a bank in the Middle East.
